Advisory Services

Understand the process.
Optimize the process.
Quantify the delta difference.
Execute the vision.

A delta needs a before and an after. SpadeVista Advisory establishes how your process runs today (the current state), defines how it should run (the future state), and quantifies the delta difference between them — the number that determines whether a project is justified before anything is built or bought. Independent advice: we advise on what your process needs, not on what any vendor sells.

How advisory works

Four stages · One path forward

The same method behind every SpadeVista engagement, offered on its own. No stage begins until the one before it has real evidence behind it.

Animated four-stage flow: Understand, Optimize, Quantify, Execute.
01

Understand

Establish the current state.

Dig deeper. We map the real workflow — not the org-chart version — and baseline what the process actually costs today in hours, downtime, licenses and missed opportunity. Measured, not estimated.

02

Optimize

Define the future state.

Gain clarity. We redesign the process for a business your size, in your industry — and work through the implications of the change: what it touches, what it removes, what it requires.

03

Quantify

Size the delta difference.

With a current state and a future state in hand, we put a number on the distance between them: efficiency gained, steps removed, hours returned to each employee, and troubleshooting and support avoided. That number is what determines whether a project is justified.

04

Execute

Act on the evidence.

Solve smarter. With the delta in hand, you decide whether to build, and with whom: SpadeVista, another provider, or in-house. If the numbers don't justify the project, you learn that before spending on it.

What the assessment delivers

Current state · Future state · Delta difference

Every assessment ends with the same three things, in writing, built on the data you provide rather than a hunch.

01

Current state

The process as it actually runs, with what it costs today — hours consumed, downtime absorbed, opportunities missed, capacity locked up, licenses paid for.

−
02

Future state

What good looks like once the constraint is removed, with the implications of getting there: the changes, dependencies and effort the optimized process requires.

=
03

Delta difference

The quantified gap: efficiency gained, steps removed, hours returned per employee, and reduced troubleshooting and support. It is the business case: it determines whether the project is justifiable, and it is the number a build is measured against.

A strong delta is a reason to move. A small one is just as valuable: it tells you not to spend on a project that wouldn't pay back. Either way, the decision is made on a quantified opportunity you can take to your board.

Process Assessment and Advisory Services

Assessment · Advisory

Both happen before implementation and are independent of any tool. The assessment fee is credited toward Ongoing Advisory if you continue.

Process Assessment. A defined engagement that takes one or more of your processes through the full method. You receive the documented current state, the defined future state, the quantified delta difference, and a prioritized roadmap to act on it.

Ongoing Advisory. Continued guidance as you execute — pressure-testing decisions, vendor choices and priorities against the baseline and delta the assessment established, so the delta difference closes instead of drifting.

Cost is set by scope and by the number of processes involved, and quoted after your first conversation. That conversation costs nothing.

Independent advice
→

We are not a reseller of any single product, and we advise on the process before a tool is ever on the table.

→

Where SpadeVista has a partner relationship that could apply, we tell you up front.

→

Our recommendations stay separate from anything we might earn on a build, so the advice is only ever about your process.

→

No lock-in. The roadmap is yours to take anywhere.

Systems we assess

Whatever system it runs on

Advisory is independent of any tool. We assess the process first, on whichever platform it runs, before a system is chosen, kept or replaced.

ERP

Is the ERP the constraint, or the way the process runs on it? Quantify the delta before you replace, reconfigure or renew.

CRM

Where the CRM and the real sales process diverge, and what that gap costs in selling time, data quality and missed revenue.

What to expect

From first conversation · to decision

01

Working session

Bring us your biggest challenge. We find the real goal behind it — no charge, no discovery deck.

02

Scope

Together we define which processes are in and how deep to go, and a confidentiality agreement is signed before any data is shared. Cost follows scope and the number of processes, and you see it before anything starts.

03

Assess

Using data you provide, we establish the current state, define the future state and its implications, and quantify the delta difference.

04

Decision

The current state, future state and quantified delta, with a prioritized roadmap. You decide if the project is justified, and whether to execute with us, with someone else, or continue with Ongoing Advisory.

When advisory is the right first step

Before you commit

Before a platform change

A platform change is one of the few moments a business gets to deliberately design how its work should run. Quantify the delta first, then choose the platform — not the other way around.

When the process is broken and the cause isn't clear

"Our people aren't productive" is rarely the problem. It's usually too many systems, manual re-entry, and information that arrives too late to act on.

When you may not need more technology

Most of the value in what you already own sits in how the pieces do — and don't — work together. That's the first place we look.

When you need a number you can defend

Projects don't get approved on promises; they get approved on a quantified opportunity you can take to your board.

The proof

Fortune 500 manufacturer · Results

A representative engagement: a global device lifecycle process. The same sequence advisory runs today: establish the current state, define the future state, quantify the delta difference, then close it.

A Fortune 500 manufacturer moved every end-user device through a 27-step path: ordered, shipped to a third-party staging facility, imaged and configured by hand, then forwarded on to the employee. The engagement was led by SpadeVista's founder, using the model he built and later taught to enterprise sales teams. We mapped it end to end and asked a different question of every step: does this need a person, or does it need a system? The third-party staging vendor came out of the path entirely.

27 → 11Process steps
4 wks → 2 wksOrder to delivery
$427 → $220Cost per device

The second-order effects were larger than the first. Devices deployed under modern management could be supported remotely once in the field, which removed a $2M first-year cost the business had absorbed after its previous refresh. Security compliance across the deployed fleet rose from 76% to 98%.

Common questions

Before you reach out

What does advisory cost?

It depends on scope and on the number of processes involved, and we quote it after your first conversation, which costs nothing. The assessment fee is credited toward Ongoing Advisory if you continue.

What counts as a process?

A repeatable, end-to-end workflow with a clear trigger and outcome, such as device deployment, order-to-cash or employee onboarding, along with the people, systems and handoffs it touches. We agree which processes are in before anything starts.

What does a process assessment produce?

A documented current state, a defined future state, and the quantified delta difference, plus a roadmap. They show whether a project is justified before anything is built or bought.

What do you need from us?

Access to the people who run the process and the data behind it. The delta is only as credible as the data it's built on, so the assessment depends on what you provide. Everything you share is covered by a confidentiality agreement signed before any data changes hands.

When does advisory happen?

Before implementation. Advisory establishes whether a project is justified, and how it should proceed, before anything is built or bought. It is independent of any tool.

Do I have to build with SpadeVista?

No. The assessment, the delta and the roadmap are yours. You can execute with us, with another provider, or in-house.

Do we need a new ERP, or a better process?

Often the process. Quantify the delta between how the process runs and how it should run before choosing a platform. If the delta is small, a new system will not pay back; if it is large, you will know what the new system has to fix.

How do you justify an ERP or CRM replacement?

Quantify the delta difference: efficiency gained, steps removed, hours returned per employee, and troubleshooting and support avoided. A replacement is justified when that annual delta is large enough to pay back the project cost on a timeline the business accepts.

What should you assess before an ERP migration?

The process, not the system: map the current state, define the future state, size the delta, then decide. Migrating a broken process onto a new platform reproduces the problem at higher cost.

Bring us the process you can't see clearly

Tell us what's standing between your business and its next stage of growth — the process, the system, the bottleneck nobody has been able to fix. We'll dig beneath it, show you what's actually there, and tell you what's possible. First conversation costs nothing.
